Nutrition Common Questions
We’ve compiled answers to the most frequently asked questions about Nutrition.
Why is my Nutrition Score not showing?
The Nutrition Score only works with food logged directly in Bevel.
If you’re using a third-party app:
Bevel does not receive full meal context
The Nutrition Score cannot be calculated
However:
Macros and micronutrients may still appear if the app writes them to Apple Health and permissions are enabled
Why are some nutrients missing from food details?
Food data in Bevel comes from verified nutrition databases.
Some foods may:
Not include a full list of micronutrients
Only show partial nutritional information
What you can do:
If something is missing:
Report the food item
Include a photo of the nutrition label
This helps improve the database.
Where can I find my calorie consumption?
You can view calories in multiple places:
Nutrition → Goals
Shows calories remaining (if a goal is set)
Nutrition → Net Energy
The right-most number shows calories consumed
You can also:
Use widgets on your phone
Add complications on your watch
How do I set a target weight?
There is currently no direct target weight setting.
Instead:
Bevel calculates your TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure)
This helps you understand how much to eat to maintain your weight
If you want to gain or lose weight:
You’ll need to manually adjust your calorie goal during setup
You can use Bevel Intelligence to help determine the right target
Do Nutrition Goals update automatically?
No. Nutrition Goals are static once set.
If your body or goals change:
Update your goal periodically (e.g. monthly)
Avoid adjusting daily, as consistency is key.
Can I quick add macros?
Quick add for macros is not currently available.
