We’ve compiled answers to the most frequently asked questions about Health Records.
Can I add a biomarker that wasn't detected from my Health Record?
If a biomarker was missed during the Health Record scan, it cannot currently be added manually to an existing Health Record. As a workaround, you can upload the Health Record again with a clearer image or document to improve detection. If the biomarker is still not recognized, please report the issue to our support team so we can investigate.
Can I edit or remove biomarkers from a Health Record?
Yes. If a biomarker was detected during the document upload, you can edit or remove it from the uploaded Health Record. However, biomarkers that were not detected during the scan cannot currently be added manually.
Which biomarkers are used to calculate Biological Age?
Bevel's Biological Age is calculated using the following nine biomarkers:
Albumin
Creatinine
Glucose
Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP)
Lymphocyte %
Mean Cell Volume (MCV)
Red Cell Distribution Width (RDW)
White Blood Cell Count (WBC)
C-Reactive Protein (CRP)
To ensure your results are calculated correctly, your lab report should use these measurements or their equivalent names and supported units.
Note: Some lab providers report Lymphocytes as a percentage, while others report an absolute count. Biological Age requires the percentage value. Similarly, CRP and hs-CRP are different laboratory measurements and may not always be interchangeable.
When is my Biological Age updated?
Your Biological Age is recalculated every Monday.
If you upload blood work from the current week, your Biological Age will be updated during the next Monday recalculation.
If you upload blood work dated a week ago or earlier, your Biological Age will update immediately after the upload.
Can my previous Biological Age results change?
Yes. If the health data used to calculate your Biological Age changes, previously calculated values may also change when Biological Age is recalculated.
Examples include:
Updating or correcting Health Records.
Adding new health data that affects the calculation.
Changes to the underlying data available to Bevel.
If no underlying health data changes, your historical Biological Age values will generally remain the same.
