Why am I not seeing Heart Rate Recovery (HRR) data?

HRR is only calculated when your workout reaches Heart Rate Zone 4 or higher.

If your heart rate doesn’t reach that level:

  • HRR will not be generated for that workout

What you can do:

  • Increase workout intensity

  • Review your Heart Rate Zones in Settings

  • Adjust zones if needed

Why isn’t my Cardio Load showing?

Cardio Load requires both heart rate data and Resting Heart Rate (RHR).

Common reasons it may be missing:

  • Workouts do not include heart rate data

  • Not enough RHR data (at least 2 days required)

  • Missing or incomplete sleep data (used to calculate RHR)

If Cardio Load is missing, a common fix is:

Go to Profile > Clear Cache & Reload All Data, then keep the app open until the sync completes.

Why are my workouts missing heart rate data?

This usually happens when:

  • The workout was recorded in an app (e.g. Strava) that does not write heart rate data to Apple Health

  • Your device was not worn during the workout

  • For Garmin workouts, heart rate is only synced every ~2 minutes

Best practice:

Record workouts using your Apple Watch to ensure full data is captured.

Why do I have duplicate workouts?

There are a couple of reasons you may see duplicate workouts in Bevel:

1. The same workout was recorded by multiple sources
If the same workout is recorded by more than one device or app, both workouts may sync to Bevel and appear as separate entries.

Common example:

  • Apple Watch + Strava + Garmin all syncing the same activity

Since some sources (like Strava) may not include heart rate data, they can cause inconsistencies.

How to fix

Option 1 (Recommended):
Go to Bevel → Profile → Data Sources → Workouts → Hide Data Sources→ Hide duplicate sources (e.g. Strava)

Option 2:
Go to Apple Health → Show All Data→ Manually delete duplicate workouts

2. Your planned session hasn’t been linked to your recorded workout (Bevel 3.2.0+)
If you follow a training plan, your planned session and the workout you recorded for it may appear as two separate entries on your Training Calendar. The planned session may appear greyed out as Skipped or marked as complete alongside the recorded workout.

How to fix

Ask Bevel Intelligence to link your recorded workouts to your planned sessions. It will compare your past planned sessions with your recorded workouts and link the matching entries so each session appears as a single entry.

Why isn't my Strength Builder workout showing up in Bevel after I save it?

This may happen if Bevel is hidden as a workout data source. To fix this:

  1. Open Bevel.

  2. Go to Profile → Data Sources → Workouts.

  3. Check if Bevel is listed as an active data source.

  4. If not, tap Hide Data Source and select Bevel to unhide it.

Once Bevel is active as a data source, your saved workout should appear in the app.
