App Customization Troubleshooting
Why am I experiencing Notification issues?
Notification delivery depends on your device and system settings. If notifications are not configured correctly, you may not receive alerts on your phone or watch.
Please make sure the following are enabled:
Notifications are enabled for Bevel in your device settings
Background App Refresh is enabled for Bevel in iOS settings
Your watch is connected to your phone via Bluetooth
If Bluetooth is disconnected, notifications will not be delivered to your watch
Battery-saving modes (Low Power Mode) are disabled on your phone and watch
Focus modes (Do Not Disturb, Sleep, Work, etc.) are not blocking Bevel notifications
If notifications still do not appear, try reopening Bevel and confirming your notification preferences.
Why am I experiencing Language issues?
If no languages appear, go to your device Settings → Language & Region and add the language you want.
Once added, return to Bevel to select it from the list.
For Apple Watch Users:
To ensure your Bevel iPhone app and Watch app use the same language:
Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
Tap General.
Tap Language & Region.
Choose Custom (make sure it matches your iPhone’s language) or Mirror my iPhone.
Why am I experiencing Widget issues?
If your widgets do not update or show stuck or random numbers, a few steps may help:
Remove and re-add the widget: Deleting the widget and adding it back often resolves display issues.
Restart your phone: A simple restart can refresh the system and fix widget updates.
Note: Some widget update times are controlled by Apple’s battery management system. This means that updates may occasionally be delayed, especially when your device is in low-power mode or optimizing battery usage.
Why am I experiencing Complication issues?
If your widgets do not update or show stuck or random numbers, a few steps may help:
Remove and re-add the complication: Deleting the complication and adding it back often resolves display issues.
Restart your phone: A simple restart can refresh the system and fix widget updates.
Open the Bevel Watch app, scroll down, tap Settings, then go to Baseline/iCloud and check that both are synced to the latest version.
Note: Bevel widgets do not update in real time. Apple controls how frequently widget data is refreshed, and update times can be affected by battery management, low-power mode, or other system optimizations. To keep your widget data as current as possible, open the Bevel Watch app and let it load. This forces the latest data to sync.
Why did my Apple Watch complications disappear?
After updating the app, complications may temporarily disappear.
To fix this:
Reopen the app
Wait a few minutes
Restart your phone if needed
