Nutrition Database Coverage
Bevel’s Nutrition database is designed to provide broad, reliable coverage across a wide range of foods and regions. We combine multiple trusted data sources to give you accurate and comprehensive nutrition information.
What powers our database
At a high level, Bevel’s Nutrition data is sourced from a combination of:
Public government databases, such as those provided by the USDA, which offer detailed and standardized nutrition data.
Research-backed nutrition datasets, including sources like NCC, known for high-quality nutrient analysis.
Licensed data from established food tracking platforms, which helps expand coverage and improve accuracy across branded and prepared foods.
Open food databases, such as Open Food Facts, which contribute community-sourced data from around the world.
Country Coverage
Because we combine multiple datasets, Bevel supports a wide range of countries, with the strongest coverage in:
United States (extensive coverage across whole foods and branded items)
Canada, UK, and Europe (good coverage, especially for packaged foods and common meals)
Other international regions (varies by country, with ongoing improvements)
Coverage for branded foods and restaurant items may differ depending on region, while whole foods (like fruits, vegetables, meats, and grains) are generally well covered globally.
What to Expect
Whole foods: High accuracy and consistency across regions
Packaged foods: Strongest in the U.S., with growing international support
User flexibility: If a food isn’t found, you can always log it by describing it, uploading a label, entering macros manually, asking Bevel Intelligence to log it for you.
We’re continuously improving our nutrition database to expand global coverage and increase accuracy over time.
