Exercise Stress
In Bevel, Stress reflects physiological stress on your body, not psychological stress, and can be influenced by factors such as heavy meals, dehydration, alcohol, or sickness, all of which can generate higher stress readings even outside of exercise.
Stress during exercise is intentionally not shown in the Stress chart. Stress is calculated using Heart Rate Variability (HRV) and Heart Rate (HR), but during workouts both are naturally altered. To avoid displaying misleading readings, Stress measurement is paused during detected workouts.
Even though Stress isn’t displayed during exercise (as shown in the shaded portion below), Active Stress is still tracked in the background and continues to contribute to your Energy Bank. This ensures that your overall Recovery and Energy Bank insights remain accurate. Stress tracking automatically resumes once your workout is complete, maintaining reliable insights without confusion.
After your workout ends, there is a short cooldown period of about 12 minutes before Stress tracking resumes and appears again in the chart. This helps ensure readings return to a stable baseline before being displayed.
